SSHMS – PLATFORM FOR SCIENTIFIC EXCHANGE

The aim of the society is to promote the history of medicine and science in Switzerland. Foundet in 1921, it is member of the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT). It serves as a platform for scientific exchange and maintains contact to other national and international societies and institutions.

The Swiss Society for the History of Medicine and Science holds an annual scientific meeting and publishes, jointly with the European Association for the History of Medicine and Health, the European Journal for the History of Medicine and Health. It supports early career researchers and confers the Henry-E.-Sigerist Prize for the promotion of young scholars in the history of medicine and science.
